What Is Bops & Daubers?

Bops & Daubers is an online game of video music bingo that I host live once a week on the video streaming platform, Twitch. The game is no more difficult than a standard bingo game. You do not need to know any of the songs. You only need a basic grasp of technology to start playing along. We play mainly for laughs and a good time, but there are also prizes to be won!

Can I Play From Another City or Country?

Yes! You can play from anywhere with an internet connection. Prizes are sent out in the form of e-gift cards, so to win a prize you will need to select a business where you are able to spend your e-gift card. Prizes values are always in Canadian dollars.

How Does It Work & What Do I Need To Play?

The best experience is to play using 2 devices. One device dedicated to watching and listening the live stream and a second device like a phone or tablet to play your bingo cards.

You can play simply by viewing my twitch page (link above). You do not need to have a login to view the stream or to call a bingo, however it's best if you do create a login and sign in before the game so you can join us in the chat which is always a fun part of the experience.

You can sign up to Twitch anytime and give my page a follow so you get notified via email when I start streaming.

For those of you concerned with privacy and limiting your online footprint -- Twitch is owned by Amazon, so if you have an Amazon account, the same company already has your information.

What Kind Of Music Will I Hear?

A regular game of Bops & Daubers will have 75 songs featuring a variety of popular music from the 1980's right up to today. It will feature Top 40, Dance, Rock, Alternative, New Wave, R&B, Soul, Disco & More.

I will also be hosting theme games that will feature Hip-Hop, Country, One Hit Wonders, Pop Divas & More. Theme games will be on separate occasions and will be announced in advance.

How Old Do I Need To Be?

To qualify to win a prize you need to be the legal gambling age in your home state or province. I will ask you to provide proof of age if you win a prize.

Does It Cost Anything To Play?

I'm asking for a $5 donation to the stream from each player via e-transfer or paypal. I'm a pretty casual dude, so if you don't have it here or there, it's genuinely all good. I'd rather see you still come play with us.

That said, please donate if you are able. Setup is considerable, and stream donations allow me to justify spending my time hosting games for you each week and they provide cool prizes for the winners.

Stream "dono's" also earn you a shout out on the stream and trigger a fun or silly video or moment.

Advertisements On Stream

Much the same as Youtube and many other places online, Twitch runs advertisements during streams. I am not able to turn these off, however I have done my best to set them to run when your stream first begins to minimize the chances of you missing any songs during bingo. If you do miss anything just ask the chat room and someone will tell you.

Viewers can disable ads on the stream in a couple of ways. If you are not familiar with how, I will cover it for you during the stream.
